Our Zoo-Wide Animal Training Program provides you with 1-4 months of onsite teaching and daily coaching for your staff as we work together to train your animals. This program is great for those who are establishing a new training program and want to “start it off right” from the beginning. It’s also great for those seeking to do an overhaul of an existing program. During the time we are with you, we also begin to develop or help you upgrade your guest experience programs, as your staff moves toward autonomy in their training work.

Our Animal Training Workshops last 4-5 days, onsite at your facility. They are comprised of roughly half the time spent in lecture-style teaching, and half the time coaching your staff as they work. During the coaching portion of the program, we carefully assess what we see and offer ways trainers can improve. We also explore ways to improve animal welfare and guest experiences while we are with you. These programs will excite and invigorate your staff as they fine-tune the work they do.

The connection we can make between our guests and the natural world is powerful. A personal encounter can create a life-changing experience that often inspires conservation action. Behavior 360 helps you train your animals to voluntarily participate in guest experience programs. We train for natural behaviors on cue within their habitats; for large group “show-type” events; and we train for small group, or one-on-one, VIP-type experiences as well. Not only do we teach your trainers so they can train the animals, but we teach how to connect with your audience through dynamic presentation skills, creating an effective vessel in which to send your conservation messages home. When problem behaviors arise such as pacing, aggression, inappropriate exhibit use and more, Behavior 360 brings our experience and education to a deep evaluation of the behavior and how the environment is influencing it. Utilizing the science of behavior change, we assess the situation and offer individually-designed solutions. When cases call for it, we partner with science experts to work toward the best possible solution for you.
